Who was wrong? Who was Right?

Her Dad Said “I know you are her best friend”.

    It was when Nitin was in his first year of degree, he was not so good in his studies. But always energetically took part in all the activities conducted by college. But everyone knew him very well as he was very friendly in campus, some even had bad impression on him as he was good to most of the staff member in campus. 

    It was in middle of April 2016 on Nitin’s birth day. He was about to finish his first year in degree. He was in his hostel. He and his friend Akhil where discussing on things happening in college. And one of the topics they were discussing was about relationships. As most of us have come through love relationship in 11th and 12th standard, even Nitin had an Ex girlfriend in 12.

    It took him a year to get out of his past thoughts. In between Akhi in a confused mindset asked Nitin in a compressed voice “Dint you find a new girl till now, it’s almost a year past, your Ex broke up with you..?” Nitin was silent for a while and after a gap he managed to lie saying “I’m in search. But dint find any girl.” Both started seeing each other’s face, Akhi burst into laughter, Nitin kept a blank smile on his face. And inhaling a long breath and with a high voice yelled out that “I need a girl who is a tomboy, who wants to be part of Indian Aeronautics and who doesn’t get hurt for silly things”. 

    The previous love relationship of Nitin that broke into piece, yearlong back, it had even affected his degree first semester results too. Akhi and Nitin’s conversation went on for hours, though Nitin was over friendly, had turned into flirt in the college girls mind. Nobody could understand his situation, at that small diverting age he had already gone through lots of frustration for almost one year, because of his teenage innocent relationship. Yeah, I agree sometimes we youngsters go over matured, speaking or thinking about relationships. 

    

    Parents or college, once they get to know about our relationship during college days, Some college or parents start screaming at children, some even hit them for it, and some put them out of college or home. It’s true that you elders do for our betterment and so that we don’t repeat it again. But as we all are growing up and changing , even generation is changing, the thoughts what you elders face at the age of 25 we have that mind set at the age of 20 now a days. Yes, but we are still kids. We know we can’t fill our own tummy without parents till we settle in our life. It’s my request to the staff and parents don’t treat them as if they have done a big crime. 

    Really your scream and hits, will affect them badly and they make take a wrong decisions. Akhi’s words were still in mind of Nitin, finding a girl form himself, the girl whom he had dreamt on his birth day night. It was not late to find such a girl for him. Nitin had a high school best friend called Neeraj, he had called Nitin on 2nd day of his birth day, that he has a friend of his 11th and 12th classmate who was pursuing degree in Nitin’s college from past one year. 

    Yes, they where friend of friends. Conversations went on between three of them in a Whatsapp group. Later Neeraj introduced her to Nitin on a conference call. Neeraj was on call with lots of excitement and they were on conference call, he introduced Raksha on call. And yes it was her. The girl whom Nitin had dreamt for, she was on call which Nitin had never taught would happen, that he could find his last night dream girl so easily. Nitin and Raksha chitchatted on Whatsapp in personal chat as friends in the beginning. What and all new friends chat? Firstly they will know each, they know about each other’s friends and their high school. But in their case it was different. 

    There chatting was all about achievers in life, there goals were about building companies, becoming a business person in aeronautics, on that night their texting started up at 10.30pm and went on till next morning 3.45am. Yes, the exact the tomboy he was in search of. They plannedto meet each other, for the first time, in college during lunch break. Nitin was standing and waiting for her near the entrance of the college, Raksha saw him from a distance, he smiled at her, and she stood still seeing. She was in a complication how to start a conversation. And the crowed was moving behind them to hostel. He said waving his hand to her “Hi, Raksha..!” Raksha unwilling said “hello” with a hypothetical smile on her face. Nitin offered her saying “let’s go for a lunch to canteen?” And suddenly a slap kind of sentence came from her saying, “I got to go to hostel, Bye..!”, 

    Nitin was hurt badly, because for the first time he was offering her to join him somewhere, at the same time it was a reject on his face. Later when he came back to hostel she was stuck in his mind. He called his friend, Neeraj that he has started loving his friend Raksha, at the first sight. Soon after that Neeraj passed that matter to her and she yell out in anger saying, “Doesn’t he has the guts to tell it to me directly, ha?” That question by her, made him still go crazy over her. Next morning he proposed her, she rejected him. As Raksha too had a Ex-relationship, he had cheated on her, same as Nitin was cheated in his past. 

    It took 2 months for Nitin to make Raksha understand that how much he was in love with her. Day by day there conversation from chats turned into calls and they started speaking and chatting 8 hours a day on cell phone, now not even a single day both could stay without speaking to each other. Nitin had gone over crazy for her. She to loves him like anything now, she was out of the complicated attraction towards her Ex boy friend. But things had changed now she was very happy whenever she was with Nitin. And Nitin proposed her every day for two months constantly without a single day gap or break. One fine mid night she accepted his proposal with conditions, that “If parents in future won’t agree for our love relationship we will walk out from each other’s life”. 

    She was very strong in her decisions where as Nitin was stubborn in his decisions. He just wanted her to get into his life, he was confident that he would never let her go away for any cost, the rest of his life. Days went on, and turned into months, and they planned to be a part of big established companies in future. Raksha wanted to be manager in Indian Aeronautical Science and Nitin wanted to establish his own companies in our neighbouring countries and wanted to become a big business man. 

    They finished up there second year degree. Raksha was good in her scores where in Nitin had scored less in his degree and had 3 backlogs in his subjects. Now they were in final year Raksha had gone serious over her family as she was the elder daughter to her parents. She was stressed by her parents during her semester holidays, that to get settled in life soon. She wanted Nitin to be her soul mate forever, but now one more matter was he was form the different caste. At the beginning of their relationship these thoughts never came to mind, but now she was confused and asked Nitin to walk out of her life, she dint had any other option either, she knew it very well that he can’t move on without her. She in between neither dint want to lose him nor dint wanted to break her parents’ heart telling them that she is in relationship with Nitin. When it’s come to priority, she will have to think of her parents, she did the same. 

    As I said she is strong, and finally with a stoned heart told Nitin to walk out. Nitin was the person who was always with full of fun and enthusiastic mind. He was madly in love with her, and both had a dream to be with each other forever, Nitin was not at all interested in studies. He had a creative thinking and keeps himself busy in one or the other activity. 

    He took many days to understand the problem of her, but still he loves her and don’t want to lose her, she slowly was avoiding him, she was stopping herself from loving him. She had started creating distance, the distance which Nitin couldn’t take it in anyway. Nitin started calling her often and kept on screaming and crying on calls begging her not to walk out, because he couldn’t stay without her happily in life. 

    

    Though they were small, but still had feelings that they couldn’t kill so easily. This went on for months together. The calls, the conversation, the pictures together, everything was getting vanished, day by day, but Nitin still had a hope of bringing her back again in life. Raksha’s dad thinks Nitin to be his daughter’s best friend but in reality they were in love with each other, it was a cold and a peaceful night with starts in the dark sky of May 2017. 

    It was one year of their relationship. Nitin was very happy and wished her through SMS at midnight. On that day she was in hometown. Her reply dint come up for the rest of the day, at night Nitin called her and asked her, but she managed with a lie saying, “I was busy and forgot to wish you back, I’m Sorry”. She had changed, she was making him far, and this went on for next one month. This imbalance in them went on till the day the return back to college for their final year. It was a fresh Monday morning they had been to classes, after noon they had planned to meet. 

    Nitin met her in the noon with same feelings for her in his heart. He was completely lost inside himself. Staring into her eyes, asked her,”Do you love me, please don’t make me alone, I can’t leave without you”. She had an attitudinal expression on her face which was boiling Nitin blood, but still helplessly waiting for her reply. She replied with a dragging voice, but staring into his eyes, with not even a single blink of her eyes, said “Nope, I have my own dreams and my own life, which my parents have dreamt for me, my parents love me more than you do Nitin, I don’t want to cheat on them in future, nor I don’t want to leave you and go away from you in future, please forgive me. Its over we will have to break up”. It was hard to hear, Nitin cried out loud like a small kid, he just went down on his knees, crushed himself and with a loud weeping voice continued, he couldn’t stop, it had affected him badly. Before all this went on, during holidays Raksha’s dad had called Nitin and had spoke to him for a long time, with lots of emotions in him for his daughter, Nitin was on call with her dad, her dad said “I know you are her best friend”. 

    

    This pricked Nitin hard because her dad trusted him to be her best friend, but it was something else in reality. He was lost inside, her dad on call went on with a flow of the words that made him comfortable to explain saying “take care of my daughter, she is innocent and trust people very soon, you know her very well, Nitin, see towards it that she won’t make friendship with wrong people and take any wrong step in her life”. That sentence from Raksha’s dad had almost blocked Nitin from loving her mentally, but his heart still needs her, he dint tell it in front of Raksha, which her dad told him on call, he kept those talks within him. Back again to the day when Nitin was crying: 

    He got to know he was going to lose her forever, he yelled out loudly screaming, “You know one thing, your dad thinks me to be your best friend..!” and continued the things what all her dad had told in front of him . He was confused to keep up the promises given to her or to keep up her in life or to keep up the trust of her dad. Both had come to a point that they love each other, but above all this parent’s trust and their hope on them is important than anything in their life. So they decided to break up. And their relationship came to an understanding ending. And now, all they could do was, just care for each other, till then they are together. It made them realise that mom and dad are everything in life. And they have to move on how so ever hard it may be to go away from each other. And they completed their three years of degree, finally they finished their graduation, though Nitin had backlogs in his previous semester, at the last semester cleared his entire backlog subjects with assistance of Raksha, they studied together for their exams. And finally they did it.

Few years later

Now years have passed with responsibilities and competitions in life for both of them, they had gone busy in there day to day life. It was all they had gone through it and life had just made them stuck in fulfilling their own dreams. After a long gap of years it was the day that had come, where all college friends could meet each other and all passed out students were waiting for and that was College Reunion Day. Nitin and Raksha were still in contact though years had passed. Nitin had started up with his own firms as per his dreams, and Raksha was also been placed in a company as an assistant manager of Indian Aeronautical Science of HAL. So guys most of us have been through relationships, its generation or our attraction or feelings what we call it as, whatever may be the situation, do have the patients to solve it or find a way to get out of it. Don’t get stuck and don’t ruin your own life by taking wrong decisions. Thank the person who was with you every now and then, when going away, they gave you a reason or they might have though you a lesson in life. That nothing can be predicted from sweet 16 to 25. These 10 year will, bring lot many changes in our life. So don’t take decisions when you are angry or under complications of life. Think that “whatever happens, happens for good” and move on with the flow of life, still you got lot many things to do and achieve in life. You may lose someone today, but definitely if it’s in your fate to get them back, you will.
